Our artisan glass collection brings texture, depth and individuality to aluminium framed doors.
Created in-house at our South Yorkshire factory, each piece is kiln-formed using specialist processes that transform glass into beautifully textured surfaces. The result is glass with character, designed to interact with light, create subtle privacy and add another dimension to interior furniture.
From the organic lines of our Artisan Reeded glass to the distinctive surface of Artisan Granite, our collection gives designers, furniture makers and kitchen and bedroom specialists something beyond conventional glass.
What is artisan glass?
Artisan glass is created by using heat to form texture into the surface of the glass.
Rather than relying solely on standard, mass-produced textured glass, we use our own kilns to create distinctive finishes here in our factory.
The process gives the glass its characteristic texture and movement. Subtle variations are part of its appeal, helping each piece feel individual rather than mechanically uniform.
Paired with our aluminium frame profiles, artisan glass can transform a functional furniture door into a real design feature.
Made in our South Yorkshire factory
Our artisan glass is produced by the team behind The Framed Door Co. at our specialist glass manufacturing facility in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Being part of Royston Glass gives us access to decades of glass processing experience alongside specialist manufacturing equipment and our own kilns.
It means the glass and the finished framed door aren’t treated as two separate products.
We understand how the glass is made, how it needs to be processed and how it will work within the finished door, all under one roof.

Artisan Granite
Textured. Architectural. Distinctive.
Artisan Granite features a beautifully irregular surface that changes as light travels across it.
The textured finish creates visual depth while softening the view through the glass, making it an excellent choice where designers want to introduce transparency without leaving the contents of cabinetry completely exposed.
Available in Clear, Bronze, Grey and Dark Grey, the different tints allow the same texture to take on very different personalities.
Choose Clear for a lighter feel, Bronze for warmth or Grey for a darker, contemporary finish.
Artisan Reeded
Organic texture. Beautiful movement.
Our Artisan Reeded glass offers a more organic interpretation of traditional reeded glass.
Its flowing vertical texture creates movement across the surface, gently obscuring what sits behind the glass while still allowing light to travel through.
Unlike the precise, repeated lines associated with conventional narrow reeded glass, the artisan finish has a softer and more individual character.
Available in a selection of tints, it pairs beautifully with our Black, Dark Bronze and Titanium aluminium finishes.
Ideal for: wardrobes, drinks cabinets, kitchens, dressing rooms and feature cabinetry.
Artisan Seeded
Delicate texture. Timeless character.
Artisan Seeded glass features a distinctive surface scattered with subtle seed-like details, giving the glass depth and character while still allowing light to pass through.
Its softly textured appearance creates a beautiful balance between transparency and privacy, making it ideal for cabinetry where you want to partially obscure the contents without losing the lightness of glass.
Available in Clear, Grey and Bronze, each tint brings a different quality to the finish – from light and understated to warm and atmospheric.
